Monkey and Pigsy – aka Rob & Jeremy, were looking for enlightenment in rural Japan and found it when Rob wrote Happy Song! Jeremy gleefully enhanced the mood with some peaceful yet dynamic flute playing and joyful backing vocals. All was well.
Back in England, the song gets the full band treatment with flute, of course, harmonica and the trademark MHDC layered vocal harmonies. Happy Song grooves with a Tom Petty, Indie Rock vibe.

A dark release in time for Halloween, with Jeremy’s voice weaving a discomforting path through the sonic landscape of blurry swirls of guitars, relentless bass and drums… with a surprising string orchestral finalé.
With nods to Browning’s dramatic monologues, Bauhaus, Bowie, late Beatles, and even Trip Hop, the song has its live debut at Miss Havisham’s Digital Clock’s showcase Halloween gig in North London this month.
